This training is designed to supplement the required training from the Texas Secretary of State. It is designed to provide attendees with additional tips, fill in gaps and reinforce previous training to make them the most effective poll watcher possible. Topics Include:

• Voter Check-In and Voter Identification • Provisional and Limited Ballots • Absentee/Ballot-By-Mail (BBM) • Documenting Observations • Early Voting Ballot Board (EVBB)/Signature Verification Committee (SVC) |

• Curbside Voting • Voter Assistance • Spoiling Ballots • When, Who and How to Report Violations • Central Count |
IMPORTANT: Get your REQUIRED Certificate of Completion from the Texas Secretary of State as soon as possible.
Take the Texas Secretary of State Online Poll Watcher Training (see graphic to register). Make sure to select Poll Watcher, NOT Poll Worker. Click through each training module and answer the quiz questions. If you answer incorrectly, hit the reset button on the bottom and it will allow you to answer again. It should take about 30 minutes to complete. |
